INDIAN Ocean

In April 2025, four intrepid rowers will embark on an attempt to become the first four-person team to row from Mainland Australia to Mainland Africa, a mammoth crossing spanning over 8000km. The journey is expected to take up to 100 days, with the team rowing in shifts of two hours on and two hours off throughout its entirety.

The Indian Ocean will be our longest ocean row yet in our classic style ocean rowing boat ‘No Great Shakes’. The Indian Ocean is a monumental undertaking and will take every ounce of physical and mental strength, as well as some luck, to cross successfully.
